This was a simple statement that I heard one of my pastors said about his recently (almost a year) wedded wife. Yeah, its really sweet =) 

From a christian perspective, I see the beauty reinforced because I think that it points very strongly towards the divine hand involved in weaving their tale. In contrast to this though, I also heard an account of another marriage situation from a friend about a man who 'decided' that he didn't love his wife anymore due to a new/younger/foreign interest..

Both scenarios highlight a simple fact - Love requires solid commitment. Philosophically dissected - that means duration, depth and devotion. 'Finding the One' sometimes quite a self-centered way of phrasing it yeah? When one really loves, the perspective might be not so much about caring for your own interests but about the best interests of her (ahem. In a guy's perspective) - say her time, her social dynamics, her spiritual growth, her parents, her thoughts, her context, her feelings...
