The skies donned a gloomy cerulean. Mixing its own hints of weariness and resentment, the vast entity released torrents of raindrops, allowing them to hammer silently onto the objects that sat in innocence nearby.

Watching the scene, the captain sighed to himself and pondered carefully on the possible courses of actions. Preparation was considerably prepared. Actions that must be taken were more or less in place. The necessary was long checked and affirmed.

It was no sercured victory, but a worthy attempt at a survival. A survival that wished it would taste glory of some honour and perhaps get to enjoy spoils of satisfaction.

Breaking the silence, a voice sliced through the air, mustering as much haste as it could while it embodied fear.

"Sir, the troops are ready and all systems are in working order. The enemies are approaching and will reach our base within about an hour..."

Nodding, the captain turned to face the messenger and asked, "Do you think all that training will pay off in this warfare?"

It was after a long pause when the man finally repiled, "Sir... I wished I trained more."

Staring back at the skies again, the captain sighed once more and begun to think about the way time was invested into his purposes. All these years.... all these work.... would they really be concentrated into one focus point? Would all effort truly be made seen through this one battle?

"Sir.... The troops are waiting for your go."


"Give them my word. We shall go. And we shall fight."
