Lets See...

You know...

There are a lot of ways one can react after recieving examination results and realising that he had screwed the former up, very badly.

Firstly, he can blame the system for its unfairness. Quote up elements that the syllabus has that has totally no relevance towards the various inclinations of his heart, which he might intend to strive for in the future. Curse the subjects for their ridiculous manner of setting the judgment criteria to affirm your distinction. Debate endlessly upon the issues that are pointless to the matter at hand and useless to what mankind requires.

Next, he can babble about the mysterious factors that have lead to his demise. Frowning deeply at the strange tides of procastination and lack of discipline. Taunting angrily at the circumstances which disabled his grip on the grade. Glaring forcefully at the mixtures of people, time and space that had destroyed his intended want.

Then, he could start discussing the alternatives he may take. Present hope to the situation at hand. Give slight assurances to what has been dealt. Fumble desperately at an attempt to assume a non-failure.

Perhaps, he will start to gaze off at the distance. Sigh silently as he reflects the digits that have pierced his heart. Try his hand at slumber, wanting to see if sleep will give mercy to him. Combat with the fears that surround him, pushing hard at the walls and hoping for a glimmer of hope.

Then again, there will be those that decide it is no use to fight on, and propose that he has been defeated.

There are those that will suddenly find a loose latch on their emotions and absent-mindedly allow it to open, then fight back at the immediate force that demonstrates its strength.

There are the 'why-er's whom start asking their percieved enity of why such a blow had occured to them.

There are the resolvers whom start planning and making commitements that such matters will never happen again.

There are the ponderers whom wonder about all the aspects of the badly-done scripts, figuring out all that happened.

All that associate them, is that sure label. And what that is relative to them, is but only consequence to what has been done, and the next time of what will be done.

Well.

Ways to Approach Emotions

Emotions are pretty simple when seen from an angle of matter-of-factness. They allow us to express. They give us room to translate our thoughts into a point of greater tangibility. They give us a place to register a form of 'realness', to allow us to embrace something unexplainable by language and concept other then the weak associations and descriptions the lingustics may bring across. They live in another plane, a different one from the possible void-like one which logic and reason dwell. They transcend beyond conditions and take place in a spectrum that is hard to observe through any science; hard to fathom by any art.
But as emotions exist as commonly with the other 'powers' humans posses, such as the ability for thoughts and the brutality of strength; it commands a special power of being able to wield a certain degree of control over these possesions. Emotions intrude into them and tell them what to do. It seems that it is the heart that decides most of the time other then the rare times when reasons contridict the way we want things to be done. Reasons and logic almost always correspond to a emotional value of something (Or someone). To execute an action means to use an emotion. Actions flow with it.

A few relationships that we may liken to have with emotion...

Silas' Belt
I speak from memory only, so any errors should be forgivable... but this character in the Da Vinci Code had some sort of belt that he wore, as a form of discipline or training for tolerance. In any case, it gave him a constant pain that acted as a sort of punishment. Such a device can be similar to emotions in the sense that they both 'train' the user in the situation through pain and perserverece. Like emotions, the belt is a baggage that causes one to remember constantly. It doesn't go away, but pricks pain into you from time to time. Leaving you to but clear your thoughts and to remember, or to forget. Or to just flow with it.

Puppet
If emotions were your puppet, if you could control it to your liking at getting it to do your bidding, perhaps all will view you as one who is emotionally strong. Someone who actually uses emotion, intstead of it using him. Such a manipulative perspective towards emotions exist, for the sake of bending it to drag down its power, for the sake of destroying it to allow better focus; all of such ridicules of emotion only prove the preceeding respect one had for it, so much so that he knew power will be allowed if emotions could truly be wielded like a puppet.

Chain with metal ball
Like a prisoner, you are chained onto the massive burden of the iron ball, and unable to move by its weight or able to move but with much difficulty. The amount of emotion you excercise upon a matter should determine the amount of weight that burden is about. Differences in people cause the differences in their reactions to issues and how much emotion they feel they should dealt out to a certain matter. So its maybe not the magnitude of the problem, but rather, the magnitude of the emotion that causes the pain. Emotion itself may even be that pain.

Slave
Who governs who in this? Emotion or you? In such a relationship, when someone is slave to emotion, he recognises it, feels deeply about it and does with it says. Wholey. Thats not exactly that hard to stomach is it? Depending on how extreme the emotion goes, and what emotion one is listening to. And also the initial reaction from one, that sparks off that particular emotion. Being slave to your emotions, although isn't what will be too hard to do or go through (unless melodrama is mentioned), it does leave one in a lurch without direction. Direction because of a lack of control. Direction, because of a lack of reason to follow. And because of ignorance of what to follow.

As I had quoted before from my unfinished novel, Distant Fragility -- "To be human means to have feelings. To have feelings, means to be weak."

"I believe with complete faith in the comming of the Messiah, and even though he may delay, nevertheless I anticipate every day that he will come.
I believe with complete faith that there will be a resucitation of the dead whenever the wish emanates from the Creator. Blessed is his name and exalted is his mention.
Forever and for all eternity. For your salvation I do long, Hashem. I do long, Hashem, for your salvation. Hashem, for your salvation I do long.
I believe with complete faith in the comming of the Messiah, and even though he may delay, nevertheless I anticipate every day that he will come."
-- Words in a Prayer book, Maimonides

I noticed that there is a beauty in waiting. And perhaps that transcends a plane higher than that of emotion...

The Salesman Ethics

Salesman, with respect to all types. From those who want to reap profits, to those who have nothing to do; from the evangelists to the conman.
And perhaps, each class has its own circlement of every other class instilled into it, as salesman all generally have about the same reasons for doing their pitch. There are the reasons for it and the necessitices that fly loosely among those reasons; and a noble cause doesn't exactly fit in very nicely with the styles and ways salesman present themselves.
Not the explicit ways of course. Its the patterns beyond the exterior and what occurs in the 'what everyone actually knows about' column. In instances when you can slam down your file and go 'that asshole!'. I'll just scale down, and comment on the two extremes...

Well, first off, there are those that have to do it without much choice. Whether it's for a living or for an obligation, the factors don't really vary much to why they do it. Because, its mainly to support themselves, its them that become the victims who need to be heros. They'll need the many inspiring-story elements of courage and strength, and perhaps a mentor to lead them onwards. Boosts in morale and stuff, its the people who you don't really hate because of pure sympathy.

Then, theres those who do it for profits. Theres probaly a decit-o-meter installed that rises based on his morals and situation. To get what he wants, he goes all out.. and everyone knows the stereotypes that follow on.

Is it Right?
This sort of question is hard to be answered, not only in a supposed second-level sort of situation like this, (dilemalistical, somewhat exceptional) but also in simple matters that are seemingly satisfiable with 'yes' or 'no' answers. Mainly because it concerns a morality, a standard, and first of, defination of what that standard is all about needs to be clear. Then again, answering questions based upon even a black or white law is also a slave to the twisting in lingustics. Still, when questioned very innocently, the answer does not prevail unless the case is a very extreme one at both ends. Case by case analysis needs to be done on whether it is right or not. In mirco-observation, and if one were to be particualrly issue-orientated, there are always bits and pieces that the salesman do which can be easily deemed as incorrect. For instance, an irritation that results in a waste of time. When the matter is observed in totality however, the situation given a more merciful chance to explain its reasons, to be seen at both perspectives; the judgement of rightness can perhaps be much more forgiving.
Salesman do have their antics that sway the stereotype into a land of wrong doers though, although it may be just a duty that will allow them to gain what they need, the public opinion will probaly not agree.

Some Laws to Poach

- The weaker require -
To justify the necessity of the product, he would have to bring forth a flaw. That flaw- which comes from you or your circumstance- the bigger and more fatal it is, the more you will need the product and the more you will buy it. Thus, never lose sight on one who is weak and admits to it within his field that you require him to believe.

- Those in pain, need -
A standard example of this is someone who is critically ill. His family members have tried all ways, all means and still can't get him healed. If you have something special, probaly not that scientifically recognised like the other universally known ones, but newly workable. (Exotic, maybe) Why will that family refuse to try it? There is no harm done, and nothing will be lost. This law aims on the desperate, those that are in situations that require immediate rescue. Even say, cases like natural disasters. Opportunistical maybe, but if it helps... should blame still be dealt?

- Product unapologised -
'Mine's the best, no doubts' This claim is a must if he wants to get the item sold. A very recognisble trait, also found in the rest of all the other sorts of competition there is in the world. Few will want to take the seat of second best... Unless a compromise will get him profits that can sustain that is.

And perhaps.... one of the most common and most hated traits of the salesman is the fact that the word 'cheater' gets associated with him. Next to irritation and sucking up their precious time, people probaly cannot stand it when the person is trying to sucker you into something. With the array of lessons learnt, people know that most of the time they don't want to trust that outsider.

Because, very rarely, he speaks the truth.

Maybe thats the reason why consumers have turned into researchers, self-studying up all there is to that product until they get their best personal choice. They want that truth.
So they seek.

Forms of Awareness

Another stab into the realms of twisted philosophy....

Awareness. Its scent sways from the tones of pungentness to the sweetness of honey; from the weariness of faint citrus fruit, to the bubbly aroma of freshly baked chocolate cake. Smell is an apt sense to indicate the rustling of the workings behind awareness - in the sense that it houses the same personality, that it commands a similar character: to the extreme vague, across the narrow glimspe, towards the obvious touch. And each understanding is variated from whether it is the realisation of blood to the disgust of dung. (An extra variable added when you decide that the creature you play is an imporant factor) It is perhaps, with such an analogy, that this picture of awarness can be clearly defined. Visibility within the depths of a fog perhaps, but clarity no doubt. Awareness, when approached upon a step backwards and observed from a second window, gets its bearings somewhere in the processes of scent.

In today's context, it is perhaps rather mundane to talk about illusion within reality and reality within illusion. What is real? This seemingly profound concept has be reduced into a simple pop philosophy that is coughed at with amusement at many, from the layman to the scholars. Hollywood has helped, the Matrix itself done the theme quite enough justice/injustice already, and so have new agers that give rise to 'born again skeptics' from the old institutions that have devised the ramblings of fakery. To even consider it from a serious light, isn't exactly that simple enough to do since such a bias to the concept has been construted. Yet, if all those barriers are shifted away, and all the talkery gets forced down into whispers; the concept can be brought back to its true seat of ponderment. It is a concept that is a level higher that the pop reasonings and simple twisted logic the world brings to you today... so.

Reality. Is what we make up of something, and say it to be real. It is only a reality if we are aware of it, and this depends upon:

Tangibility
The senses, the physical material, the outer embrace; all this almost make it a for-sure real thing. True, much of the pop stuff do have this factor as one posing as a trickster. That this factor 'doesn't really matter' in the feel of realness. Although its the only probable factor that can be considered to allow awareness, its the one factor that doesn't rely on any other forms of certainty besides existence itself.

Feelings
The wavelenghts are very understandable here to anyone. So I won't need to waste time on the definations. Lets make the logical and sensical a subset of this one.

Beliefs
This is perhaps the strongest factor in the play of awareness. Because certainty is already there, it allows one to agree without contest that it is real. Reality is allowed simply as such. It might not be a delusion however, but rather its an assurance brought forth by many supporting factors that the belief may cling upon.

This three, and maybe other lingering factors, circle around the awareness to tell one how 'real' the reality is.

Now, what forms of awareness are there? Besides, real and fake, do other pathways exist for awareness to exist? The extremes are seemingly already enough justice to the term as they consider the 'dreamy, surreal' to the 'cold hard, into-your-face real' situations. But are there other cases of awareness? Theres the delusion, the unreal, but still believing in so because of a need to. The need is usually something likenable to a hunger, an addiction that requires feeding. So much so, that you'll need to re-perform the ritual and continue on, along in chaos. Theres the semi-reality which you play a part in during mind games, in emotional field trips when you think about it, and although it isn't happening, its immersion is something real enough. For reality, if not considered in the light of the tangibles, and viewed from a point where its feelable, reality then, will simply not exist. Because reality, as percieved by humans, take on a grander stand, a stage where the extent allows humans to understand what reality means, and discern between that and the other escape fantasies we live in. Realites that are created by us, use a different form of awareness, just like an awareness that have ripped out all senses of what its inner workings.

Awareness and its forms form up much of the human persona, we are aware of things, and to the realities - and perhaps falsities - they are real to us.

Then, we should take a deeper stab on, into something profounder. Something called truth.

Hope only intensifies the pain. Therefore, I will not wait anymore.
Theres a greater hope to live for anyway.

Respectunity

Is there a problem with respect? In terms of how the action goes, and all the results that it would harvest; there is probaly no wrong in it. Surface analysis would deem 'respect' as a term for the good guys, or for the people that are well liked. Respect for elders is always favoured on by society, and respect for people and their possesions all are seemingly nice. Even people in the coporate world empoly respect in their dealings, be it for diplomancy or for desired motives. Even for the insincere respect(say hidden motives); the presence of respect (actions that show it) are already very good.

Good... in the sense that its what individuals and groups would want. When there is respect, there would most probaly be an existance of a non-alignment with your something, relative to the other's something. Therefore, its a form of acceptance, perhaps with some wishes attached. Wishes that can take all forms, that would involve persuasion, disgust, sympathy or something that does not like the element within the something, but still endures.

Respect would entertain crowds that dislike war. That would rather forsake inconsistency in the unified structure than a battle of it out to achieve that unity. Some assume its a balance that allows the unity, some decide that embrace of all would lead to the unity.
And then comes in respect. An inexhaustive method to resolve the differences that would cause a instant forbidding to the laws that control war and chaos.

But as much as chaos gets likened to war, does respect holds it own share of chaos as well?
Would there be danger in respect, in the sense that when you don't fight, when you don't move when you accept and tolerate and go on just with your own drift, not defeating the othermons on the way down the river nor listening to their arguements in stead...

We'll all have peace.
Perhaps a more peaceful dirft that allows us to move on..

Until we get killed by where our path takes us. Afterall, all things end with the end.
And death, its one of those damned things.

Inclusivity, impartiality and tolerance will make the world a better place. But then, many believe in the other world after that.
Let's observe this quote with a doubular perspective. (I made it, but the concept is pretty much an unspoken expression within the communities themselves)
