The forceful Grip onto the bars of truth

A simple dialogue session I went through at school... Its a paraphrasal of what the average student would experience within time

A: Nah... Theres not much time left to study liao. I'll just concentrate on the Secondary 2 syllabus and go with it. Anyway, its not counted.
B: What you mean its not counted?
A: Mid-year what...
B: Hm? Its prelim...
A: Huh? I thought..
C: O levels is a month after this, this exam is prelim.
A: Really.... ?
B: Yarh!
C: *Sigh*
A: But I thought...
B: It is prelim lar!
A: Who told you one?
B: My chinese teacher, okay? Is that good enough for you to believe?
A: huh... ? (to D) Hey, our class Chinese teacher is Head of department right?
D: Yeah.
A: (back to C and D) Hey, HOD told me is not prelim!
B & C: Eh?
B: No lar... its prelim.
A: Um...
B: My chinese teacher said so.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

The truth was: The exam was not a prelim, but only a midyear.

Perhaps its really too simple a situation to show the fogs 'truth's secretes... But theres the school of mor0ns that says its the simple things in life that define who you are. On the large scale, for humans altogether. A quote to demonstrate this would be "What a man laughs at is a good show of his character." Indeed it is. From it, we can infer what he enjoys and what he is uncomfortable with. We can see who he hates and who he likes to be with. We can see if he is a racist or whether he is in deep vengence with someone. And much more. Likewise, in other simple matters?

A pictorial representation of truth would be a cage. The degree of how much the cage locks you up, depends of course, on the worth the truth means to you. Truth isn't always in crystal clarity, but most of the time, we agree with the basic flow to meet the huge picture and to aim to do battle with the last boss. For instance, it is a 'truth' that studying hard for examinations would give you good results. But of course, the statement has a lot more to it, and it isn't that simple, although, when considered in a basic light, it is. In a related case, one can say that a degree would equate to a decent job. Again, there are the varaitions. And its not only the exceptional cases. There are situations that would become, at a lower and not so drastic level.

When we hear a truth, we directly link it towards a 'promise'. Sure, it might not seem that way at first, but if one can gaze at the correct angle depending on the situation, he would realise that what he seeks are really, promises. Therefore, insurances. And contracts. etc. We all know that the assholes of the world (um, humans) are not exactly good promise keepers and so it would be better to figure out the times they kept it, rather than the times they did not. Then again, the whole art piece of the promise is ambigious, and at times would be quite ridiculous to mantain or check. As the TV has told me, guys always seem to like to make promises to girls in relationships as well as once a promise is set, the whole thing gets all soury and romantic. Much promises invovle 'waiting' as well. And to wait. Well, when we believe in the promise, we would know its worth to wait. Because, he won't break the promise.

I shall glance back to the picture of the cage and add details. We can see that among the several cages of 'truth', there are some with locks that have varying keyhole sizes, some that have no lock at all, and some that have no keyhole in the lock. Such, represents the faith one has in his truth. Whether or not, it is easy for him to wriggle out of the cage after crashing down the low quality grills, or if it is simple enough for one to pick the lock and cheat his way out.
Then, there are the types of boundaries that the cage allows. The bars may be of the same material (as in, same truth), but the allowance of perception of the other cages outside the boundary can be in question. How much are you allowed to see outside your cage? Or are you only obstructed to a small point? Or are you allowed to see much, but only concentrating on a single spot?
The cage holds the prisoner--- you. To risk taking the analogy out of context, what feeling is that prisoner experiencing? Is it hunger? Is it confusion? Is it lostness? Are the bars of the cage getting hotter to feel, or colder to touch? Or are they still providing the needed comfort? The generous assurance?
Pain.

Or is it pain?
Just pure... uneeded describable, pain?

Truth, is indeed contreversial, to the extent that everyone wants to be right. And if one were to reach out from his cage and feel the bars of another cage, to apprieciate and respect the differences and perhaps even discover a signal... all the while staying in his own cage...
Open.... but closed?
Could differences be embraced?
Questionable. And hard. Because, of truth.

And yet, in all this. I myself will continue to cling onto the bars of truth. Because I know the promise can never be broken.

For the truth that I believe in, shall make me free.

Three

Ponder about three. The significance of this number and the wonders that it brings about...
Three...

Sustains Life --- Food, Water, Air
Trinity--- Father, Son, Holy Spirit
Process of Life-- Youth, Adult, Old
The usual range-- Strong, Average, Weak
Life's works--- Birth, Growth, Death
Time---Past, Present, Future
In a Day---Morning, Afternoon, Night
Life's Dealings---Conservatives, Moderates, Extremeist
Crushes--- Novelty, Interest, Leave
Work---Try, Fail, Suceed
Work---Try, Fail, Regret
Work---Try, Fail, Fail
Realisation---Denial, Blaming, Acceptance
Outrage---Irritation, Anger, Outburst
States of matter---Solid, liquid, Gas
Temperatures---Hot, Lukewarm, cold
Believing---Believer, Respecter, Ignorer
Human Treatment---Love, normalities, Discrimination
Looks---Attractive, Average, Ugly
Ways---Strong, Usual, Weak
Habits---Curiousity, Routine, Addiction

And... many others. Theres even a chinese saying that loosely translates to 'please think thrice'. (Yeah, the english one is usually 'think twice', but the chinese were more precise anyway) I could go on. Everyone else could go on. And if we get the people from their own respecive fields of specialisation, perhaps the list would always go on.

Some that flow in a process (generally and literally) and others that are all needed to be worked in synergy or synchronisation. 3... represents a process. It also seems to symbolise a sense of completeness, some sort of order. Being both law-like and fuzzily wholesome that boils matters down into a minimal. Perhaps its because man wanted to get into the lingo of having greys among the black and whites. Taking the principlities of his field to have a neutral point. But this neutral point, does transcend to other areas... including those that man are not in control with. But a midpoint is very favourable in any instance. A turning point in life would mean a change, a inter-life period that sees you standing on the line looking back and forward from that point, from that change. A climax in a story is desired and appuladed to when presented in breathtaking style.
In a lifetime, or in an experience perhaps, theres many 'three's to look forward to. Even within those 'three's there are 'three's. To wonder at which point of 'Three' you are at, is not a surprising thing...

Even if you think about it three times.

#$%@

The trashcan (blog), has been strangely (yet stupidly understandbly) empty for a reasonable amount of time. Well, at least thats what it seems to me. Of course, a lack of posts does not equate to me actually spending more time getting my mind to agree with the world's necessity and attending its flow (studying and then competeting) while trying to keep my scope within the right motives.

No one really cares about that anyway.

So, today, I decided to break apart the idea of hatred and the expressions that people practise when they encounter their perceived 'asshole'.

Hatred as in discrimination, as in name-calling. As in showing anger towards. Like any other emotion, humans don't give out the standard signals and react in a variety of ways that are something senseless and irrelevant to the emotion itself. In the case of anger, when scaled down to a primary effect level of expression, its output usually comes from sprouted vulgarities and tabooed words that give a mysterious aderline to the human. Something goes wrong for the dude and he does something wrong to comply with it. Apt enough.

Even for such expressions, different responses would result from different circumstance and 'spark-off's. For instance, 'damn it' would be more appopirate for situations when circumstances let you down. 'Shit' is more usually used in cases when you did something regretteble or when something bad happened in immediance or about to happen. 'You asshole' would be for certain people that are too damned good in something (jealousy factor) or that are too damn irritating (or attitude problem etc.) And so on. The vocabulary is however, not the usual kind as applied in normal languages. And the taboo factor would just make the word more fit for the situation. Say, stuff like 'shithead' and 'shit you' could be used as well. Whatever sounds catchy for the culture to feel up to.

Now, how does such expression result? Emperically, it roots from hatred. But of what sort? Using an example of people for the simplictity sake (everyone's saying that they hate everyone anyway), its because of the person's persona (ultimately) There are 2 kinds, the one that is not in control of the person, and the kind that is somewhat within his control. Let the above order be A and B (cause its late and I don't feel like naming it in a cheesy way)

A: -- Hatered and name calling for people in this region would mainly be termed 'discrimination'. Race, being fat etc. all fall into this catergory. As I had seen a man quote someone in a forum, "What a man laughs at tells you a lot about his character". Quite true, I would say. And now, equality is a goal for the human race. Idealistic? Perhaps. But 'A' dudes can't do really much to help themselves, except maybe not to actually act in a way that might give them more reason to feel the hatered. But ultimately, it is the fault of the normal person. "Mommy, tell them to stop the beating. I promise I won't be toothise anymore." -- this innocent and sourly saddening quote from Hotel Rwanda the movie shows pretty much the whole them reason for the need to stop this class system and discrimnate those who can't help themselves.

B: -- This one would be that the person himself is really like a 'asshole'. Many friends of mine have this to say about assholes (I.e. the top 'what i dislike in a personality' list: Arrogance with proud, explicit or implicit, speech and actions, self-centered, egocentric, hypocritical-- especially those who act noble, domineering -- control freaks, backstabbers/betryaers, pain-exaggeraters-- as in keep whining about the matter and making in big deal about it by constant talking about his/her suffering) etc.? Defintely. But that list should cover the top few. I guess that if one gets feedback that he/she is disliked in a certain way, get feedback and then try to change.

In both catergories, the A and B might be tortured under 'group hating' when everybody agrees that they don't like the person. This, in itself is what I would consider quite a bad punishment. Especially when A doesn't deserve it. When humans lack connections, and a place they can express themsevles in whatsoever medium, its going almost like going against their nature. I read about mental patients who are locked up into rooms and shunned by society, and they keep clinging onto the person thats nearest to them there, asking: "Do you love me? Would you be my friend?" Most react in pity. And some by shunning the guy totally and wanting to 'get the hell out'. But can no one actually treat them as 'normal' human beings?

Well. I guess I have gotten a bit preachy here. Heh.
But then, it wouldn't be wrong to say that love makes the world go round.

Love is powerful.
And Jesus loves you.

And those two lines above are probaly the only scraps that aren't trash in the trashcan.

Say hello.

I've considered putting this in Implorations... then, I guess it does fit here.

-------

Watching the man from a distance, Glenn gathered his thoughts and focused carefully on his assumed future actions. The 'How to'. The 'What must's. The 'What if's.

Stealing another glance at his prey, he took a final glup of 'normal' air and approached the person. The man had finally accomplished his painstaking counting of the donation money and was clocking in numerical values in a piece of crumpled paper. The money was for the Singapore Cancer Society. Just another one of the organisations that he helped out at.

"Hello, could I have a few minutes of your time?"

Glenn cautioned himself and studied the signals of the man, he seemed friendly enough. He painted a very sincere smile and showed full attention to Glenn's simple statement.

"I was just wondering if you have seen this book before?"

Glenn whipped out the Four Spiritual Laws booklet which saw an immediate change of the man's expression. The latter nodded and replied, "My name is Paul." Oh yeah, forgot to introduce myself. Damn. "I've heard that story before... and yeah, I guess you do still want to tell me more, don't you?"

"Um... yes." Glenn thought quickly and responded, "So, you have heard about the whole thing before? About Sin? About..."

"Jesus. The Cross. The Sacrifice. God's Grace. His love. All that, yeah I have. Many times too. You Christians are some lot of a efficient bunch," looking directly at Glenn, Paul pointed towards the empty bench across the table, "Sit."

"Okay..." Glenn crossed the bench and settled himself uncomfortably onto its cold texture. He fingered his bag pocket, prepared to whip out a retort after figuring out the main problem.

"What's stopping me from accepting the load, right?" Paul said, while stacking up the donation bags and piling them neatly by the crumpled paper.

Glenn looked uneasily towards Paul and nodded, "Um... yeah. What exactly.."

"Heh. Always the same pattern."

Glenn felt speechless. Tentatively, he massaged the pocket of his bag.

"I got my reasons. I can open a university with the crapload, and even fit the concepts into modules that cluster themsevles by their own faculties. But for today... I'll give you a special preview on probaly the most highly discussed, importantly contrevisal matter of - Suffering."

Glenn begun to rummage for the "10 Ways to understand why God allows Suffering" Brochure, when Paul shook his head, amused.

"I've seen that. Pretty logical and somewhat satisfactory. But theres the loops everywhere, and you dogmos yourself know it."

Glenn bit his lower lip and begun, "Yes... I know theres so much in life we cannot control... many things that can threaten to drown us if we aren't careful.. Suffering is one. But that in itself can't measure up to his sacrifice..."

"Un-huh?"

"I mean... we can't question him... we cannot..."

"I think. You don't understand."

"Wha-what?"

"You don't understand. Your young. Your unexposed. You have no idea about the true realities of the world... you don't know what the heck suffering is."

"I... its.."

"Let me just tell you about one incident. Boy abducted by thugs, taken to other country. Legs chopped off. Made to beg for thugs. Thugs take away his money. Give him megre wages. Repeat. Thats his life."

Glenn recoiled his arugement and sat back slowly.

"Its worse if your a girl. You know what they do. They can do a lot of things. And in the finality of all these is that they get her to be pregnant, and they have the baby grow up... into slavehood."

Glenn felt speechless.

Paul continued, "And the thugs themselves enjoy finery. They take the good stuff and live their lives as rich assholes that have no woe. No pain. No lessons..... and your telling me, that both of them. Both of them. Go to hell ?"
"Thats only one instance, lad. One small example to show you have fair the world really is. How much justice really is allowed in the world. I've heard many things about your faith. Many, many things. I respect it, its good enough to be respected. But sometimes... you people aren't what I would call life-changers."

Glenn made eye contact with Paul and then broke away in an instance.

"I am sincere... and serious. Well, I guess you couldn't like go to a government to appeal for a bit of changes... or whatsoever.." Paul chuckled and said, "You guys. Some of you are pacifisits. Some of you are are hardcore followers. Some of you try to be sword wielding apologists. Some of you try to defend the faith at every angle. To find a reason to back up any factor. I've read those stuff... the Scientist and the student who stood up with faith. The mountain climber and how he did not let go... the footprints on the sand story... I've seen assholes who say that they can't stand this world and want to be taken away, in some End Times speculative matters that is in internal conflict within your faction. I've seen idiots who claim they are not of this world. That they have a burden to hold. That they would be persecuted."

Glenn shifted uneasily and gripped onto his Bible tightly.

"In all this - I see selfishness. I see ego. I see arrogance. I see.... ignorance."

Paul picked up his donation bags and folded the crumpled paper, putting it into his shirt pocket. He took a final glup of his Coke and said, "You say, we are blinded from the truth? Because you see the light. I tell you, think about this: You yourself are blinded from the truth as well."

With that, Paul turned around and headed back towards the Singapore Cancer Society. Ready to go for his new part time job that he had taken up in order to pay for his mother's hospital fees.

And Glenn sighed deeply. Upon reciving an SMS from his friend to go play basketball, he picked up his Bible, zipped his bag pocket and headed towards the Community Centre.

Three minutes later, the lightings came crashing down onto that very same table which Paul and Glenn had talked.

Five people died.

Truth.
Its a powerful word, a substance that is fortified by so many structures and powerhouses. Percieved in so many lights and degrees.

"the truth shall make you free"

And being free... what does that imply? To take the analogy directly... a bird being free is not shielded anymore. It needs to hunt for its own food. It needs to find its own shelter.
But should it be taken in that sense?

"Ignorance is bliss."

And bliss does not mean happiness. Nor is it completeness or wholesome fufilment. Its just what it is... bliss.

I didn't give a happy ending to the story. Because, maybe one has to realise that there are no such things as happy endings. Everything seems to suggest so.

Its life we're talking about here...

The Peasants Work...

"Humans achieve complicated emotion patterns over very simple matters."

Was my Msn nick a few weeks ago.
Its probaly an exaggeration, and like any other spawn of life, there's the exceptions and special cases. And well, besides, I'm like 80% of the time mixing around teenagers. So they can't probaly be classified as humans. They are... but in the end, it could just be immaturity. (I don't discount myself off that hook of course.) But as much as the tide comes in, it seemingly seems that its the simple matters that make life suck for us. As psychologists and probaly other people in the world would know, the 'triggering causes' and 'structuring causes' analysis playworks and the way the 'slowly builds up' thing goes. So in the end, it might not be a single button that is pushed, but rather the whole situation altogether. Because seriously, our lives don't happen like movies and story books where they have a main 'problem' that shifs itself slowly into the climax and stuff. Life's not so colouful at the most part. The 'it-all-adds-up' idea is nice, but probaly only just satisfactory to the way we expect life's cards to be dealt.

Because we face life at different angles, we approach everyday with different mindsets and singular problems sometimes won't find themselves a solution after a long time. Stuff can drag along and stay put for awhile. Then come back again. And because the details aren't exactly amazing enough to fit a bestseller, the 'problems' we face turn into pure bite-size bread crumbs. Also, the process won't be as much as a suspenseful one filled with the tackable side-quests at along the road, but rather a totally different segment.

On the simplistic level, there are basically 3 ways upon perciving(for the victim himself, the passer-bys and the studier) distress (as usual, their variables and etc. crap... I've said this, like for almost every blog entry ? Go figure.):

The Hit by Too many things and therefore stressed out
This view is less climaxy and shows a guy running around completing errands and searching for their cheese everywhere in the maze. It tlits slightly towards a 'goal seeking' ambition and consider that the victim suffers but would get there in the end, or fail.

The Many Factors, but ONE main problem
This one agrees that there are many contributing factors, but in the end singles out one individual one that is causing everything. Say you have a problem of not being able to reach school early. You give various reasons like lots of homework, can't get up early etc. but the real and underlying reason is that your parents are quareling every night and you can't get across the point. These people believe in the trigger-effect thing.

The Facade Assumers
These guys think that the distress doesn't affect them and they just go on with life taking it in their stride. Either optimistic or apahtic. In both cases, one can think that they will suddenly 'can't take it' and go jump off a building cause their hiding up all the time, or, that they will evovle into a robotical state and hide themselves behind a wall all the time, feeling emotionless.

And More.
But they don't really matter anyway.

The emotion patterns are fluid and semi-digestable when they come and uneasy and squeezy as they try to flee. It works especially for misuderstandings, irritation and instances when your basically 'pissed-off'. For instance, a guy keeps copying the way you conduct your work and because its seemingly unobvious, you can't do anything. (Lol... yeah, hidden implications here. But no hard feelings anyway. Its not good to respect the pattern.) Ego problems erupt and then tidals of not wanting to 'give in'. The stereotype quarrels, yeah. But other things as well. The stuff that is long-term. The procedures that are lengthy in thought-conflictions and akward in paper jotting. In short, Life.

While playing an online game, I entered this room entitled 'Life Sux'. While in it, another guy entered and gave his comment: "Life doesn't suck. You make life suck."
We choose it for ourselves?

Well. Choice has been a very appealing idea. Its by choice that a 'freedom' is wanted, through 'choice' that a democracy is formed. Its by the concept of choice that the law of human actuality is created. Also, choice measures stablity of our actions and the commitement we would desire/need to pioritise to them. They say a choice can be life-changing. That it can mean a heaven or a hell.

Ever take that literally?

"Just ask for the address." -- The failure of interpretative communications

And, for that matter, interpretative connections.
My dad was a bit annoyed with me (in the 'cos-its-ridiculous' sort of way) from the way he saw me gather information to get to a location I needed to be at, last week. I got it through the usual 'directions' sort of way where the guy tells me to sit MRT to wherever and board whever bus at whatever and see what near-by etc. and finally struggle out from a maze into the exact spot. "Just ask for the address next time." -- his logic was simple: knowing the exact location of the place would ensure you won't get lost in the first place. The other side-information could be bonuses, anyway, the important part was the address.
Well.

The annoyance of such getting-go has been around for the long while. But sadly, the point in searching for a something is not that simple to derive in several real instances. Mostly because when such problematic situations are concerned, those solutions are not definite correct ones nor are the points exact 'places' to be going to. But without such a benchmark for a field that runs amok pretty much everyday, the world would be in chaos. (The stereotypical understanding of chaos, not the percieved one that is in progress now) Of course, most things do get above the benchmark, beyond the level of the 'Because - Therefore - So' and even the rebelious 'but's and 'howevers' have a more abstract form. When the matter gets to that stage, and perhaps even transcend across its edges towards a new perspective or higher image altogether, the weak imitation of the 'address' fails miserably.

A very good example comes from the forum I just attended, as the speaker had said: The UN has failed in ensuring effective collective sercurity because it was in itself an aspiration rather then a reality. A main problem was that agreement was hard. And such a pre-resistical factor lead to another fluke: The Law. The written rules of the UN and the words spoken could be interepreted on in so many ways by so many countries, of course each country favoured the circumstances to be more beneficial to itself. Lawyers love aruging about words and the UN has provided them quite a lot of words to argue with. Examples are Korea in 1950 -953 and The Middle East in 1948. Because of the countries unwilling to compromise, because they choose not to give way and to abuse the 'address' that was provided, in the end the interpretative connection failed. To pharaphrase the guy( Proff Brian Farrel, btw) "UN becomes the Society of Divided Governments in the world".

The essence within the last example clings successfully onto the other examples that everyone could cite. The 'play of words', the game of interpretation, is a big and indigestable folly many treat as a painkiller. Another thing would be the implicits of religous doctrine. Yes, so many all cry out in anger and pain (or sadder, some can't even cry out...) to question why the heck their all fighting in their own way just because of some book. The different levels of each faith has expounded from the social classes to the style classes and even the personalised classes. There becomes the essence of 'one way, many styles. because diversity is not supposed to be condemmned'. There are also the divisions of the extremists to the moderates to the conservatives and even the rojaked people who mix their idealogies within their faith and shake up politics with the beliefs system. Sometimes, it turns into a 'feel-good' session. And I'm not speaking of hedonism. No, humans have a 'heart' sometimes as well, and would want some things that they deem should be accepted because its right. Based on, of course, their standard. The interpretative rigiors affect the dogmatic to the insiders, they baffle the intellectual and the followers. It becomes so damned screwed up sometimes that people get tired of it. Double Symphaty works here...

Now, about relationships. This factor causes massive distresses in this field as well. Its pretty explainable, just go check out a few blogs of secondary school kids to find out their woes at being tortured by cases of interpretative wrongs. Many also raise their hands to say that they hate backstabbers. This roots from a simple factor that people don't like fakery, and 'addresses' are exactly what presents such fakery to them in an implicit way.

I recall a lecturer had mentioned, to assume means to 'make an ASS out of U and ME'. Its laughable, and probaly everyone will hear of it at some point. But this simple concept hides a profound answer. Interpretative connection with people is just difficult to mantain and hard to oil. The members of the UN need attitutde changes to make the world a better place, the academics need to step out of their window and understand the rest to sercure a better apology, the humans... will probaly screw up in any case, so well, they should just.... be.
Sincerity may be an answer to all this. But the funny irony is, most don't appreciate proper sincerity.

So I guess...
Next time, I'll just follow my dad's advice and get the address.

Arrogance

Who defines it? What constructs it? Where does its standard lie?

To the beholder perhaps.
To the one who sees it. If such, then the labeling of the character would be so very, subjective. So very inconsistent. So damned... irrelevant.

If so, the logic behind an accused soul concerns lostness, ponderment, timeless arguement... the soul differentiates to be a victim. A helpless. A tyrant. A moron.

What does arrogance consist of? What does it tell youabout? Who spawns its endless boundaries of actions?Who makes its tidal waves of destruction? Who summons its fires of contreversy?

Someone can say something, not wanting attention, unintending to gain glory, yet the calling is sparked off. Deserved? Questionable. Tolerated? Few will.

The concept behind this nothingness towers behind a forcefield that demands its engines to be renewed and empowered... but not changed.

The beholder agrees only with himself.. with his reasons.

But reasons don't tell you about truth.

The Art of Mind-Gaming: Double Sympahty __________

I am uncertain of whether to use theory/law/concept/principle or whatsoever term that goes with the specific lingo, so the blank will satisfy my intention. (Seemingly because, 'crap' is a term that fits nicely into the blank as well) Anyhow, this is just one of those common sense things that nobody really talks about and yet it exists, so I assume that everyone probaly already knows about it but don't acknowledge its presence of be amazed at its existance since it was on this earth longer that you.

So:
This act of double sympahty occurs when the sympathy shown onto a person has been exhausted and finally peaks towards a strong negetive emotion (mostly irritation and ignorance), when such happens the second dose of sympathy comes in, supporting their tears from the old reason and the new one that comes from the negetive emotions shown by others. Also, probaly the reasons fueled by all the rojaked emotions and other factors that turn emerge from the situation that arises by the act, through the purposes and from the intentions.
Note that 'sympathy' is only the root term that holds onto the theory, other adjectives that exist in relation, can surface.
The converse is also applies, not within a scope of vice versa but rather in the logical sense of term exchange.

Of course, this is just the general equation and the basic gist to the plot. The story can be manipulated and the tune can be distorted. Implictly, there can be the rules but as always, there will be the weird eccentrics, the cocky rebels and the exceptions. Double Sympahty may seem circular and cycle-like on first glance, but its not always the case. Of course, when dealing with time, its not really a exact pattern that repeats but rather fragments of that pattern or fusions within the fragments.

Let me elaborate... by a few case studies.

--Specific Objectval Events Case--
When an association/organisation or idealogy group is invovled while revolving around their concpets or rituals
E.g.
City Harvest Church
First, it was respected, acknowledged and thought of as great. And then the second wave of dislike comes in from various reasons and many start finding chinks in its amour. From here there are the people who cast their symphaty on it and restate that is actually quite good.... here onwards, double sympathy takes action: There would be old/new rebels that restructure their views that such symphaty is not right and be horrified that the sympahty actually exists. (Okay... I guess I didn't exactly paint that good a picture of how the whole thing works... but. wells)

--World View througout Perspectives Case--
On general matters concerning the the world that includes the political, spiritual, social, physical etc. generes and also the overlaps, usually beseeched by sensational topics and inclusive occasions.
E.g.
Fat People -- Being Fat
One public view of how the world sees it (can be considered a general view, but its not a trend or time frame based arguement because it can transcend, although its very trend-like) would be that Fat people are disliked and discriminated because of various reasons. The usual cliched ones everybody knows and ahem, feels. Sympahty onto them. Then groups come out to condemn the sympathy using logical arguements. Sympathy re-thrown in after that light occurs becuase of the doubular mindsets that occur.

--Questioning within Rebellious Conflict Case--
Matters reguarding questions that are brought forth from the trends of philospical debate and hot-house reasoning. Disagreement through ideas and belief clashes.
E.g.
Take the question of how to make sense of what God is doing during the disasters that occur and people dying everywhere. Such can lead to more heated reactions and theory shooting, with everyone partaking the skills of 'fight or flight' and giving their own decesions and actions with their own wanted/expected outcomes. A cloud of 'sympathy' comes in-between all this to respect the idealogical battles running around. It can be a satisfactory answer, or say, the victory of a test-like debate. Then new groups come in to break the 'silence' and a new wave of 'sympathy' attack the grounds, one that now is more flowly, more intentional.

.... Okay, well. I myself don't think that those were excellent descriptions of what Double Sympathy consists, but then again, Mind Games are easy to play, hard to teach.

And learning of how to learn them is a contridition in itself.
